Q: Morley brought up the concept of "circuit of culture", and cited Hall : "As that paper explains, consumption is no secondary or dependent part of a linear narrative, in which 'in the Beginning was Production'. (p.250)". How should we understand "circuit of culture"?
Q: Hall talked about "organic intellectual" in previous readings, Kiang in her article, tried to explore the concept by initiating multicultural course in her institution. According to Chen's interview, Hall also decided to join the open university. What might be the other ways for scholars in higher institution to contribute to the real practices in broader society, outside of academia?
