I think that scholars have always been thought as a kind of elite group and I don’t think that that have changed, how are scholars supposed to inform on their work and how it dialogues with everyday life.
Intellectuals have also been seen as an elite group of people discussing theory, wouldn’t the idea of returning to an intellectual that deals with different disciplines in order to study what is happening in the everyday life and again, how are intellectuals supposed to make their work known in a world that cares less and less about the Liberal Arts and knowledge itself.
